Pouring a deep purple brown, the smell is freshly brewed black coffee, plums and honey, and that’s where the flavours begin.
You find lots of sticky honey, some lovely chewy treacle tart and a warm woody hit of black coffee.
The hopping is all crunchy autumnal leaf litter, conkers, marmalade and a dab of aniseed, and the beer finishes with a deep and rich coffee blast alongside a satisfying pithy bitterness.
