Brew By Numbers 01|26 (5.5%)

Now this, this is an absolute delight.
A Saison brewed with smoked wheat and Fuggles, it’s warm and round and satisfying.
The smoking is light, drifting up at you as you pour, along with honey and apricot jam, the beer sitting a bright gold in your glass.
The body of the beer is smooth and creamy, and there’s a good caramel and runny honey sweet stickiness that pairs well with the earthy bite of the yeast.
The Fuggles give you what Fuggles give you, a hint of aniseed and a hefty whack of country lane hedgerow pithiness, dry and bitter, and this works beautifully with the smokiness that rises in the toasted cereal finish.
Lovely stuff.
