Fixed Wheel Brewery Ride It Like You Stole It (8.5%)

It’s Wednesday evening and I’ve been looking at this bottle for a few days.
I just couldn’t wait any longer.
You see I had two bottles, drinking the first one a week or so ago and thinking it was delicious.
And it is.
Ride It Like You Stole It is a big fat juicy Double IPA that pours a peachy gold with a big frothy head and smells of rum soaked tropical fruit sweets.
There’s a big chewy caramel, shortcake and honey malt that is given a lightly spiced orchard fruit hit from the yeast while the hops are a great big slap of sharp zesty lemon rind, steely herbal leaves, mown lawns, grapefruit and, oddly but marvellously, a subtle dab of lavender.
The finish is long and boozy, bitter and dry.
Wednesday is the new Saturday.
