Oh, this is good.
Saison yeast meets lovely damsons for an earthy fruity treat.
Pouring a deep peachy orange with a fluffy head, the aroma is lightly spiced orchard fruit.
Taking a mouthful you find a superb squidgy toffee, runny honey and Belgian waffle malt and a good herbal blast of steely freshness, lemon zest, lime leaves and orange marmalade from the hops.
The yeast adds a warm and round earthy spice and this sits beautifully with the sharp bitter sweetness of the damsons, and all this makes for a beer with a delightfully gentle nettle sting and jelly sweet finish.
