Vibrant Forest Brewery Imperial Red IPA (8.3%)

I can review this beer in three easy words.
This. Is. Superb.
It’s as simple as that.
But I know you want more from me and so here we go.
Vibrant Forest’s Imperial Red IPA pours a deep conker red with a little fizzy head and smells of toffee and boozy macaroons.
The malting is deep and heavy, hefty with treacle tart and drowning in honey, fig biscuits and bran flakes, it’s a round and sticky mouth filling joy, and over it there’s plenty of hop action.
You’ll find orange marmalade, lime leaves, lemon zest and herbal leaves that make for a finish that’s at once brown sugar sweet and bitterly dry.
