BrewChap Not Just Another Drop In The Ocean (6.3%)

I know exactly who is on the seventh floor brewing alternatives, it’s Ian BrewChap and what’s more this is just what I needed, a Saison brewed with cucumber, ginger and lemon to freshen me up as I fight off a stinking hangover.
And this is a very clever beer to boot, the cucumber bringing a lovely clean freshness to the finish of the beer after the ginger has prickled you and the lemon has given you a zesty kiss.
There’s also a lovely soft caramel and wafer malting, a little earthy spice kick from the yeast and a bunch of garden herbs and hedgerow foliage from the hops.
What a fabulous beer this is, and no sellotape or knives in sight.
