Gesundheit is a Nelson Sauvin powered Wheat IPA and it’s a thing of loveliness that pours a rich apricot with a frothy head of fun and smells of fresh lemonade and peaches.
Being a wheat beer the body is smooth and creamy, and there’s a nice lightly gassy bread dough yeast thing going on as well.
You find brioche and caramel, vanilla pancakes and runny honey giving the beer a solid sweet backbone, while the hops are a big bold kiss of lemons and limes, apricots and artichoke, along with a sharp metallic herbal swipe just before the finish goes equally soft and bitter, sweet and fresh, not unlike a well made lemon meringue pie.
