This is a perfectly drinkable Pale Ale, but I can’t find much trace of the loose leaf tea that is supposedly a part of the brew.
Maybe there’s a hint of spicy leaves along with lemon zest in the aroma, and you can just about taste a touch of something dark and woody when you take a sip, but it could just as easily be the mix of hops as the addition of tea.
The lemon zest gives a nice little zip in the finish and the hops are all grapefruit, mandarin and herbal leaves, while the malting is a soft and gentle caramel wafer.
But tea?
Nope.
