Brewed in collaboration with Howling Hops, this is one hell of a fine beer to be the first I drink in the garden this year.
It’s a double IPA and it’s big and bold and juicy.
It pours a bright gold with a fuzzy little head and smells of mango and tinned peaches.
The malting is a round and warm brown sugar drizzled shortcake biscuit, some honey and caramel, it’s sweet and sticky and forms a super base for the hops that spark and fizz with life.
You find the mango and peach from the aroma, some sherbet lemons, grapefruit, a hint of sticky pine resin and lots of steely herbal leaves that make for a sharp edged dry bitter finish.
Super.
