8 Arch Brewing Centurion (8.5%)

This is a great DIPA from 8 Arch.
And I mean really great.
It’s big and fresh and fruity and packed with fun things to make your tongue tingle.
There’s a big bouquet of Passion flowers, honeysuckle and tropical fruit sweets in the smell and the beer pours a warm amber with a fuzzy little head.
Taking a big mouthful you find a beer that’s all about its hop attack, but that’s not to say there’s nothing else, because there’s a super malt body that’s round and chewy, full of vanilla pancakes, salted toffee waffles and just a splash of apple juice.
Let’s get back to the hops though.
Steely herbal greenery set your teeth on edge, soft mango and peach kiss your lips better and sherbet lemons and grapefruit zest adds a zingy sparkle while a chest warming boozy heat drives the flavours forward as you head towards the dry bitter finish.
