I find it increasingly difficult to write about Lagers and Pilsners as they have such a standard profile.
Yes, there’s occasionally a different Hop bill or some such but ultimately when looking at a good beer of this style you want a crisp clean beer with a little nettle bitterness, some light honey and biscuit malting, a good golden colour and an aroma full of lightly spiced orchard flowers.
The classic Hop bill gives you some hedgerow greenery and a twist of lemon coupled with a subtle spicy in the finish.
And that’s what we have here.
