Adnams Brewery Grapefruit IPA (4.5%)

I generally like Adnams’ beer, but this is terrible.
It looks OK, sitting a warm amber in my glass, but the aroma is the first sign of something not right, as the smell is watery honey and chemically tinged peaches.
Taking a swig you find a great big astringent burn, the weakest malty biscuit nonsense and a feeble excuse for lemony hops that is made all the worse by the addition of grapefruit that does nothing more than add an extra layer of unpleasantness to the mix.
Nope, with this one Adnams have got it very wrong.
