Brasserie {C} Torpah 90 (6%)

A Belgian beer hopped solely with Chinook, this is a lip curlingly bitter delight.
It’s a bright sunny golden beer with a little bubbly head and an aroma somewhere between pencil shavings and walnut writing desks, rich and woody and lightly varnished.
There’s a solid caramel and waffle malt body, a pinch of salt and a warm earthy yeast hum and then there’s the evisceratingly keen Chinook attack.
It’s tongue witheringly dry and endlessly bitter, with lemon zest, fence posts and mown lawns, it batters you with its harsh zing.
I for one love it to bits.
