Round and creamy and satisfying, this, my first experience of this new Norfolk brewery, is rather good.
It pours a deep purple brown with a fluffy cappuccino head and smells of coffee and cocoa powder, and taking a swig you find molasses and plums along with the coffee and chocolate of the aroma.
Everything is round and chewy, and it’s tempered by a decent pithy green herbal hedgerow bitterness from the hops.
In the finish you find a little chestnut and some crunchy autumnal leaves that add a light woody warm dryness to the end of the beer.
I want to try some more.
