Sentinel Brewing Co. US IPA (6.5%)

There was far too much conditioning going on in my can, meaning that US IPA poured with an almost uncontrollable head that destroyed any real aroma with a gassy yeasty blast.
Once the beer had started to settle down the smell of fruit punch and honey began to come through, but it wasn’t the best start.
I left the beer to settle for five minutes and came back to it to find a malt body that’s round and rich with honey and shortcake, toffee and wafers, and a big hit of lemon and grapefruit, mango, peach and sherbet hops with a brittle herbal dryness at the edges.
And from that point on the beer was very good, if still a little gassy in the finish.
