Twisted Barrel Ale Raspberry Ripple Sour (3.5%)

This is a delight.
It’s gentle and subtle, yet full of flavour.
Pouring a pinky peach with a little foamy head, the aroma is freshly squished red berries, and as you take a swig you are immediately greeted by a swish of ripe plump raspberries, soft and fruity and fun.
The vanilla pods add a soft ice cream flavour that is so round and creamy and smooth that you’d swear the beer included lactose, but being totally vegan contains nothing of the sort.
The hopping is almost an aside, a prickle of nettles and lemon zest, just adding a little zing while the sourness builds as you drink but never overwhelms, instead making the beer feel fresh and refreshing.
