Black Flag Brewery IPA Citra Simcoe (6.5%)

You know how when you use Citra and Simcoe and get it just right you create a great big juicy blast of a beer?
That’s what this is.
From the zesty fresh fruit and Starburst of the aroma to the long crisp bitterness and the sherbet lemon, herbal foliage and hint of rolling tobacco glued together with orange marmalade, this beer is all about those hops.
That said there’s a very good, if subtle, malt backbone that gives the beer some body and sweetness in the shape of caramel and shortcake, but boy oh boy, this is a truly hoppy delight.
