Drum Brewery L-Space Voyager (4.8%)

I wrote about this briefly as part of a beer and food pairing thing for Ales By Mail a little while ago, but I only touched the surface as it was more about interesting beer styles to try with curry than taking any particular beer apart and reviewing it.
L-Space Voyager is a Hefeweizen brewed with peanut butter powder which lends a creamy nutty woodiness to the background of the beer while the yeast gives you lightly spiced fried bananas, both of which compliment each other delightfully.
Over this there’s a crisp and keen hazel and hedgerow hopping that cuts across the sweetness of the caramel wafer of the malts.
Very good indeed.
