Brewed in collaboration with St. Austell Brewery, this is a rather nice Dunkelweiss that pours a rich mahogany brown with a fuzzy cappuccino head and smells of lightly spiced bread dough.
This is a beer all about its malts, taking you on a journey from dry dark chocolate and rich fruity black coffee, through treacle tart and creamy rice pudding to brown sugar glazed brioche.
There’s a good sprinkling of bitter green herbal hops that punctuate the smooth sweetness and add a much needed metallic tang to the finish of this very enjoyable beer.
