I love a smoked beer and this one is very tasty.
Fire Damage is a Stout brewed with smoked malts that make for a beer with a rum and raisin and bonfire aroma that works its way into the flavour when you take a swig.
You find treacle tart and burned wholemeal toast, honey and cinder toffee along with woody bonfire smoke.
There’s also a good hit of hazel leaf and nettle tea, a dab of marmalade and a fizzy hit of lemon sherbet from the hops, bringing some much needed brightness to the beer.
The finish is a warm boozy fireside fug, just the thing to spend some time sipping at before bed.
