Amundsen appear to really like their Vermont yeast as this is the third can I’ve had that uses it from a range I got hold of a couple of weeks ago.
It’s very good as well, packed as it is with all the fruity fun we’ve come to expect from this style of IPA, lashings of mandarin and lemon, grapefruit, peach and mango sloshing about when you drink and, before that, wafting up your nose as you pour.
There’s a solid malt body too, caramel wafers, waffles and honey creating a sweet background to the stinging bitterness of that hopping.
And all this goodness is driven along by the lightly spiced fruitiness of that yeast.
Lovely stuff.
