Beatnikz Republic Brewing Co. Generation IPA (6.5%)

This is a beautifully presented and equally beautifully made IPA that bursts with hoppy goodness.
The malting is light and subtle, warm with caramel and shortcake, there’s a dab of honey richness and a little salty bite at the edges where the yeast pops in to say hello.
And all of this is a superb platform for which the hops launch themselves.
Mosaic, Simcoe and Ekuanot create an aroma of passion flower and honeysuckle, and smack you full in the face with fresh herbal foliage, mango and oranges, lemon sherbet and woody rolling tobacco all glued together with a blob of sticky redwood resin.
The outcome of all this goodness is a long and deliciously bitter, dry finish.
