Bellhaven Brewery Twisted Mango IPA (5.1%)

If I’m honest, and I do like to be honest, I’ve not been a big fan of Bellhaven.
And so I was ready to take this beer apart and tell you just how much I don’t like it, how terrible it is.
But the truth is, hand on heart, I rather like this little beer brewed with mango.
It’s aroma is really inviting, all kids’ jelly sweets and honey, and the beer sits in my glass a bright amber with a little frothy head.
There’s a round and chewy toffee and brown bread, biscuit and honey malt that provides a solid backbone onto which the mix of hops and mango add sharp herbal leaves, fleshy tropical fruit, lemon curd and jelly sweets that bring you to a zingy sherbet finish.
Yup, even if they are owned by Greene King, I like this very much.
