Fancy a rich chocolate, dry crunchy biscuit Stout with a fruit compote on the side?
If so, you need this beer.
It pours an inky black and smells of forest fruits and chocolate, and that’s pretty much where the flavours begin.
The malting is rich with coffee and dark chocolate, some vanilla and toffee, and this mixes with the most delicious fresh raspberry fruitiness that adds a fleshy pop of juice.
There may be some hops in here, but they’re not really important as, other than adding a little bitter hedgerow pithiness to the edge of the beer, they’re eclipsed by the fruit and malting that leads you to a deliciously stodgy Black Forest Gateaux of a finish.
