I wrote about this beer three years ago when I had a bad bottle and then a week or two ago I had another disappointing experience.
But third time lucky, this bottle is so very good that I have to write about it again to set the record straight, and I would suggest that sometimes things go a little bit wrong, and sometimes it’s worth persevering.
Fellowship is a chocolate rich Porter loaded with digestive biscuits, toffee and prunes.
There’s a lovely red fruit aroma and the beer sits a deep mahogany in my glass.
Around the rich malting you also get a slap of hedgerow greenery and a lick of aniseed from the hops while the beer feels smooth and creamy, leading you into the salted caramel ice cream of the finish.
Lovey stuff.
