I can’t begin to tell you just how much I like the bitterness of the finish in this beer.
Well I suppose I could, but I’d rather you find out for yourselves.
Renegade’s West Coast Pale Ale is a light golden beer with a lightly spiced mango and peach aroma.
There’s a solid toffee, shortcake and honey malt, it’s sweet and sticky and provides a good backbone over which the hops are a bright splash of colour.
Lemon and lime citrus zing, a warm rolling tobacco woodiness, resinous red wood, nettles and steely basil all lead you towards the finish that I mentioned right at the top.
It’s a finish that has to be tasted for yourself.
I like this very much indeed.
