A properly slow and cold fermentation makes this little Lager of Tempest’s absolutely lovely.
It’s crisp and fresh and gentle.
Spiked with zingy sparks of herbal leaves and lemon rind from the hops, the beer feels smooth and creamy, its malting, locally sourced Golden Promise Barley and milled oats, adding a gentle caramel, some shortcake and a dab of honey.
“Refreshingly uncomplicated,” states the label, and refreshingly uncomplicated it is.
I could drink this all day.
