Brewed to celebrate the first birthday of the Vessel beer shop in Plymouth, Vessel is a cloudy and thick IPA packed full of Mosaic, Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops.
There’s a heavy damp aroma packed with lychee, pineapple and mango and it drags you down into the depths of fruity goodness as, taking a swig, you plunge into a great big fruit bowl of hoppy goodness, with gooseberries and kiwi, sherbet lemon, peach and papaya, as well as a big swipe of steely dry herbs.
The malts, including oats for a creamy smoothness, provide a warm round spun sugar, honey and brioche body and the yeast pops up with a little earthy spice in the long bitter finish.
