Another new Welsh brewery for me to try and on first taste this, their Session IPA, is good enough to make me interested in finding out more.
As you know, it’s difficult to impress me with a Session IPA as I generally find them far too thin for their own good, but Crafty Devil have managed to get a good balance between the soft brown sugar and shortcake of the malts and the lemon zest and lime leaves, hedges and tobacco of the hops that means the beer feels round and full and the finish doesn’t drift off in a weedy whisper.
Yup, I’m ready to try some more.
