This Double Red Ale has been brewed in collaboration with Cloudwater and it is every bit as good as you’d imagine, pouring a ruby red with a little fizzing head, the aroma is full of cherries and strawberry laces.
There’s a sticky chewy malt body that’s full of shortcake and honey, brandy butter, waffles and vanilla ice cream, and the hops – Citra, Centennial and Loral – give you lots of orange marmalade, rolling tobacco, bracken, hazel leaves, lime zest and passion fruit.
There’s a big round alcohol warmth making the beer feel weighty and satisfying as you move towards the brown sugar syrup and pithy dry herbs of the finish.
