Vibrant Forest Brewery Unfourseen Consequences (9.7%)

A collaboration brew with my old mates Weird Beard, this Belgian style Quad with added cocoa is an absolute delight.
The beer pours a deep conked brown with a flaming fuzzy head and an aroma steeped in rum drenched prunes and chocolate.
There’s a great big malt body, it’s rich and round and chewy, with brandy sozzled raisins, dark chocolate and black coffee, honey, treacle tart and brandy snaps, and alongside the malty goodness sits a green and pithy splash of herbal hops with lemon zest and grapefruit rind.
In the finish you find a sexily funky earthy yeast, tamarind, dandelion and burdock and a hefty hit of rum baba soused raisins.
