8 Wired Brewing Co. Big Smoke (6.2%)

Big Smoke is a great big German sausage ice cream of a beer, and before you stop reading and call me stupid, deleting me from you favourites, let me explain.
Big Smoke is a very well made Porter that has the added bonus of being brewed with some serious smoked malts.
The result is a beer that is equal parts German Rauchbier, all woodland bonfires and rich meaty Bockwurst, and the vanilla chocolate cake, honey dowsed bran flake and shortcake of a well made Porter.
You’ll find prunes and plum compote as well, along with some bitter and steely herbal leaves from the hopping, but mainly this is a bacon and sausage, ice cream and brioche delight.
I for one like it very much.
