The last time I had a beer brewed with cucumber it was a Wild Beer and I loved it.
I like this one a lot as well, though the cucumber is a lot less pronounced here.
Cucumber Hippy is a Berliner Weisse with a long smooth creamy body, a hint of cottage cheese and a leafy salad aroma.
The malting brings pancakes and honey, soft and gentle, and there’s a little prickle of nettle tea and lemon zest from the hops.
Swimming around the edges is the delicate cucumber flavour, enhanced by a pinch of salt, it’s green and fresh and bright, and it makes the finish enormously clean and refreshing.
