Fierce Beer Peanut Riot (6.5%)

I’m always dubious of a beer that proclaims itself to be, “seriously good,” as it feels like it’s trying to hard to convince me, but Fierce’s Peanut Riot, a Porter brewed with peanuts is, if not seriously good, pretty good nonetheless.
The peanuts are there, woody and lightly salted, they taste, to put it bluntly, peanuty, and around them you find chocolate and coffee, honey and treacle tart, in fact all the usual Porter basics.
The hopping is brittle and crunchy, red autumnal leaves and lots of hedgerow greenery and there’s a nice hint of dandelion and burdock in the finish.
Not a beer for people with nut allergies, Peanut Riot is worth checking out.
