Põhjala Brewing AS Talveöö (9%)

Oh my word, this is extraordinarily good.
Brewed with coconut, vanilla and cardamom, Põhjala’s Baltic Porter is like a soft velvet lined boozy duvet.
There’s a weight to it that keeps you warm, a boozy heat like a grandparent’s hug, and in the air around you the beer’s aroma is a hefty fug of sweet Indian spices and dark forest fruits.
Talveöö’s malts are round and creamy, smooth and chewy, with toffee pecan pie, brioche and chocolate praline, honey and burned wholemeal toast made richer and rounder by the sexy vanilla and the spiced fresh green crackle of the cardamom.
The finish is heavy with dark bitter chocolate, rum and honey.
I could drink this beer into oblivion.
