Torrside Brewing Co. Time Capsule (11.5%)

This is a 2017 vintage Barley Wine, a beer made by taking a share of the rich stronger wort from early in the brewing process of the wonderful Molten Universe, concentrating what they are left with into a richer, sweeter and far more boozy beast.
This beer, being a Barley Wine, is all about its malt bill.
Sure there’s a light splash of green herbal hoppy colour, but this is all about those big brown sugar syrup and brandy malts with their treacle tart and creme brûlée, vanilla ice cream, honey and toasted sesame seed sexiness that’s pushed along by a massive boozy warmth.
With every new beer I try I like Torrside more and more.
