Cherry Cascadian Dark Ale or Cherry Black IPA, the choice is yours.
All I know is that whatever you want to call it, I like this beer a lot.
From its Black Forest Gateaux smell to its treacle tart and honey, chocolate cake mix and plum jam body, there’s so much here to get your taste buds involved in.
You’ll find the snap of liquorice root, nettle tea, lemon zest and hazel leaves from the hops, adding some brightness and a good pithy bitterness while the cherries are round and meaty and dark and fruity, making the beer feel like a liquidised cake.
Lovely stuff.
