Five Points Brewing Co. Hybrid DIPA (8.7%)

Another birthday collaboration, this time it’s a DIPA brewed with Wild Beer and using a hybrid Kudriavzevii yeast strain.
The result is a Dank and chewy Double IPA packed with toffee and pretzels, honey and shortcake from its malts, and a hefty hit of pine resin, orange marmalade, lime jelly and lemon zest from its hops – Galaxy, Loral and Ekuanot, if you were wondering – while this odd yeast adds its own pithy gooseberry skin, green grape fruitiness and an earthy fug that has the beer bordering on Farmhouse Ale.
Very good.
