Magic Rock Brewing Co. Mind Control (8%)

This is one hell of a fruity Double IPA.
It’s packed with Cryo Hops in the shape of Amarillo, Mosaic, Simcoe and CTZ, and the result is an aroma I could smell from a metre away as I took a photograph, all tinned peach and mango slices, it’s warm and rich and juicy.
The malts lean heavily on wheat and oats to give a smooth creaminess to the backbone of the beer, while the Golden Promise adds a lovely soft and sweet caramel biscuit crunch.
It’s a solid body that the malts provide, and it needs to be as all that hop action gets going right from the off, with sharp and tangy lemon zest and lime leaves, some woody rolling tobacco, grapefruit, peach and mango that takes you willingly towards the round boozy warmth of the sweetly herbal finish.
