Wander Beyond Brewing Paddle (4.3%)

A few weeks ago I said how bored I was with modern sour beer and how much I’d gone off them.
And so it was with some trepidation that I cracked this beautifully designed can and pour the delightfully pink liquid into my glass.
But this Raspberry Gose isn’t tart at all, in fact it’s soft and round and sweet, bursting with juicy berries, it’s rather like a summer pudding.
There’s a lovely vanilla tinged sponge finger malt base, honey and lightly salted caramel, brown sugar and cinder toffee, and the light slap of fresh green hops adds some bitterness.
And then there are the gorgeous raspberries, all plump and rich and ripe, they waft up at you in the aroma and hang around in the light fruity finish.
Lovely stuff.
