Magic Rock Brewing Co. Neo-Human Cannonball (9.2%)

WARNING: Some readers may find this review blasphemous.

You know how I’m really bored of NEIPAs?
Well, as much as I wanted this to renew my faith, all it’s doing is making me even more bored of NEIPAs.
This is Human Cannonball with a New England yeast that adds a thick peach and apricot earthy yeast warmth.
But the thing is, Human Cannonball is brilliant by itself and this rebrew just tastes like bandwagon jumping, which is something I’ve never ever thought of accusing Magic Rock of doing before.
In itself it’s a decent can of beer, with soft caramel and toffee, waffle and doughnut malts, and a hit of mango and lemon zest hops, but that NE yeast thing is becoming overly sweet and rather sickly and Magic Rock didn’t need to do it.
Nah, I’m not impressed.
Not impressed at all.
