Whenever I say what I’m about to say I’m generally met with sharp intakes of breath and/or swearing.
I don’t like The Clash.
Never have.
I just don’t get the interest in them.
Why do I mention this?
Sandinista was one of their albums, is all, and I don’t like it.
I have it in my collection because I did try to like them, but I don’t like it.
Torrside’s Sandinista on the other hand, I like very much.
It’s a fruity American IPA packed with lots of melon and lemon, orange marmalade and lime zest, it’s sharp and fresh and bitter.
There’s a good brown sugar syrup, shortcake and toffee malt that provides some much needed sweetness in the body an the finish is long and dry and bitter.
This Sandinista I like, The Clash’s Sandinista I don’t.
