Smoked Wheat beer from Portugal?
Don’t mind if I do.
Especially when it tastes as good as this.
A creamy sweet shortcrust pastry, honey and toasted white bread malting makes for a smooth rich body while the hops are crunchy and brittle, snapping with nettles and hedgerow undergrowth, a squeeze of lemon and some bright herbal bitterness.
And then there’s the smokiness that slowly builds, adding a whole new layer of rich flavour, it’s woody and warm and makes the finish feel thick and satisfying.
Very good.
