Gipsy Hill Brewing Co. Hiker (10.3%)

Well well well, Gipsy Hill have made their first Triple IPA and it’s an absolute marvel.
The beer slinks from it’s can, decorated with a picture of Vicky, part of their Bar Team, a cloudy gold with a little fuzzy head and an aroma that reminds me of peach snaps, clean and boozy and laced with fruit.
There’s a sticky malt body made of caramel and honey, toffee popcorn, French bread crusts and shortbread, and it’s underpinned by a lightly salty yeast bite.
Then there are the hops with their bright fresh herbal greenery, mango flesh and lemon bonbon sweetness, orange marmalade and woody rolling tobacco.
And all of this bitter sweet goodness is pushed along by a big clean swipe of vodka clear warm booziness that makes for the sharpest finish you could possible hope for.
Super stuff.
