Moncada Brewery Mandarina Blonde (4.2%)

This is a very drinkable, if not altogether exciting, little Blonde Ale that’s been brewed with Mandarina Bavaria hops.
The aroma involves satsumas and flower borders and, sadly, a little bit of sweet corn, while the beer sits an appetisingly bright and pale gold in my glass.
There’s a soft caramel, honey, shortcake and brioche malt body, sticky and sweet and tinged with a delicate yeast saltiness, while those Mandarina hops add a zesty orange rind brightness to the sharp bitter finish.
Decent.
