The Magnum hops are a gentle green aside to this big bold chocolate monster of a beer.
They provide a swish of something fresh as you dive down into the murky brown depths of this fathomless Stout.
Mad about Cacao?
You better be.
From the chocolate coated honeycomb, brandy and coffee aroma to the Cadbury’s Flake in the finish, this beer is all about chocolate.
And booze.
Booze and chocolate.
The body of the beer is thick and heavy, pulling you in and smothering you in chocolate spread on burned toast, chocolate sprinkled black coffee, chocolate coated everything.
And yet the beer manages to stay the right side of cloying due to a big alcohol blast of rum and raisin, brandy snap and vermouth that cleans your palate and mashes your brain.
Mad about Cacao?
I am now.
