A Belgian Blonde, Lie Down is eminently drinkable, starting with a rich liquorice and flower border aroma that leads you down into a delightful malt body.
There’s treacle and honey, shortcake and waffles, sweet and chewy and satisfying.
The hops work in tandem with the yeast to make the beer earthy and fruity, woody aniseed and tobacco leaves, prickly nettle tea, hazel and hedgerow, there’s a little lick of lemon zest and then the brown sugar sweetness builds as you head into the warm boozy finish.
