Alphabet Brewing Co. Juice Springsteen (4.5%)

Don’t think of this little can of fun as a Session IPA and let that put you off opening it, as it did me for a week or two.
No, what this is, is a very clever fruit beer that has managed to keep well away from anything tart without the use of anything sugary.
Juice Springsteen is brewed with the mango, guava, passion fruit, mandarin and pineapple, and you can both smell and taste each and every one in the beer.
The malting is soft and round with fudge wafers, and there’s a nice little herbal metallic brightness from the hops.
But it’s the delightfully playful blend of fruit and how brilliantly balanced they are that make this a rather smart little beer.
