Redchurch Brewery NZ Pils (5.1%)

This is a nice little beer, made with Pilsner malts and Lagered for a while, it has been brewed with some very fresh tasting New Zealand Hop varieties.
And herein lies something interesting.
You see the hops, all fruity and juicy, and full of peaches and gooseberries, mango and lime, are so big and wonderful that you barely notice the soft creamy biscuit of the malts, and so without being told I’d have said that this was a delicious little Pale Ale, rather than a refreshing Pilsner.
Not that it really matters at all, it’s just interesting.
To me, anyway.
