Wild Card Brewery DIPA (8.1%)

It’s so nice to find a DIPA that’s crystal clear, sharp and bright, doesn’t rely on a cloudy yeast hit, but simply brightens your day with its crisp bitter freshness.
Wild Card’s DIPA is just such a beer, like drinking a pint of gin soaked grapefruit and pineapple juice.
It’s big and bold and boozy, yet superbly refreshing in its crystal clear sharpness.
The malting is a soft and subtle honey coated shortcake affair, creating a soft sticky sweet body, but it’s the hops that star here.
Along with the grapefruit and pineapple, there’s apricot, peach and woody hedgerow greenery before the slap of super sharp bitter dryness in the finish.
